Always dreamed of visiting the Amazon Rainforest in South America / Brazil but have not yet gotten the opportunity? Discover Borneo, Kalimantan - the Amazon of Asia & the East, close to home in Indonesia.
140 million years old, the Borneo rainforest is almost 3 times older than the Amazon Jungle. (55 million years old)
Famous for being home to the largest wild Orangutan population in the world, spend a magical 2 nights aboard a traditional Indonesian Kelotok houseboat surrounded by pristine nature & wildlife sighting opportunities.
Potential wildlife sightings include: Fireflies, Orangutans, Proboscis Monkeys, Variety of Birdlife, Hornbills, Crocodiles - as these are wild animals, sightings are not able to be 100% guaranteed.
We'll also be doing light day and night treks to visit Orangutan research, rehabilitation and feeding centres where the Orangutans are frequently known to return to for food.
