Day 3: 4x4 into the heart of the okavango delta: Moremi game reserve
After a good night's rest, we set off by 4 x 4 into the heart of the Okavango Delta: Moremi Game Reserve.
🇧🇼 Botswana is one of the most exclusive wildlife safari experiences in Africa. 🌍
Operating on a low-impact, high value tourism scheme, 🇧🇼 Botswana accepts fewer visitors than other destinations.
This makes it a relatively less crowded & more peaceful experience than the army of jeeps you can sometimes find yourself in Kenya's Maasai Mara, surrounding one lion. 🦁
It has been extremely successful in conserving the wilderness from over-tourism, with the revenue funding the preservation of the reserves as well as benefiting local communities.

One thing about 🇧🇼 Botswana, there are sooooo many Elephants!! 🐘 🐘 🐘
Botswana is home to over ✨ 100,000 Elephants, that's 1/4 of the entire African continents' Elephants in one country! 🌍
We practically saw more Elephants than Impala. 🤣 We also saw many baby Elephants!! 💛

One of the ✨ Highlights of our 🇧🇼 Botswana Wild Wetlands Safari is to experience a 🏕️ Mobile Tented Safari, just like how the pioneers used to in the late 19th century! 👨🏻🌾
By late afternoon, we'll arrive at our 🏕️ Mobile Tented Camp, which will be set up for us. ✨ Complete with stretcher beds, pillows, blankets, a bucket shower and long drop toilet.
Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by our accompanying chef. 😋
And get cosy for a good night's rest as the temperature in Sep in Moremi drops from 28-34*C in the day to 13-18*C at night! 🌡️
Day 4: game drive at the heart of moremi
As frequent Safari go-ers, you already know that ✨ Dawn is prime time for Predators & the best sightings!
Doing a 🏕️ Mobile Tented Safari right at the heart of a Game Reserve allows us to position ourselves in the best possible position for the best Wildlife sightings.
Moremi is known for being one of the best places in the world to see the ✨ African Wild Dog.
🐆 Leopards are also present, particularly around the riverine forests of the Khwai River.
🦁 Lions are known for being large and powerful, often seen wading through the water to hunt.

Day 5: Moremi to Savuti
We continue our 4x4 🏕️ Mobile Tented Safari 🦁 from Moremi Game Reserve to Savuti in Chobe National Park.
Known for its 🐘 Elephant Hunting Lions 🦁 & Lion vs Hyena rivalry & action competing for kills, Savuti is one of Africa's top predator viewing areas.

As we pass through the Khwai Concession & River, embark on a peaceful Mokoro canoe ride on the Wetlands. 🌊
A lovely, quiet & gentle experience after the incessant rumble and roars of our 4 x 4 safari jeep engines. 😌

Day 6: last day of game drive at the heart of savuti
🌅 Enjoy our last day of Game Drive at the heart of Savuti in Chobe National Park.
Savuti is also known for its mysterious Disappearing River phenomenon. 🌊
A 100km stretch from the Linyanti River to the Mababe Depression, the Savuti Channel's flow is not dependent on rainfall, but rather by underground tectonic activity.
It has fluctuated between Wet & Dry seasons lasting between 7 - 77 years, recorded since the 19th Century.

Day 7: Return to civilisation in Kasane!
Arrive in the town of Kasane around lunchtime and check in to our lodge for a well deserved rest after 4 nights of our 🏕️ Mobile Tented Safari in Moremi & Savuti! ✨
End off our 🇧🇼 Botswana Wild Wetlands Adventure with a 🌅 Sunset Cruise on the Chobe River.

Day 8: Depart from Kasane, Botswana 🇧🇼
