Here's some suggested optional day tours if you're arriving in Johannesburg early and will like some activities. ☀️

1. bothongo wondercave 🏔️

About an hour's drive from OR Tambo Airport, the Bothongo Wondercave is a stunning limestone cave.

It is one of the largest single-chamber caves in South Africa 🇿🇦 renowned for its impressive stalactites, stalagmites and flowstone formations.

Here we'll go on a cave tour, descending 60 metres underground.

2. walter sisulu waterfall & garden

A further 30min away is the Walter Sisulu Waterfall & Garden.

One of South Africa's 10 National Botanical Gardens, the Walter Sisulu National Botanic Gardens is a beautiful and tranquil nature reserve, home to the Witpoortjie Waterfall. 🏞️

A lovely place for an afternoon stroll! ☀️

3. the rand club

An hour's drive back into the city, The Rand Club is a historic private members' club. ✨ It was originally established as an exclusive social club for wealthy mine owners and businessmen during Johannesburg's Gold Rush in 1886-1887. ⚱️

Renowned for its prestigious reputation and its elegant, old-world atmosphere, The Rand Club was designed in a Victorian & Edwardian style. ✨

Its interiors filled with rich wood paneling, chandeliers and luxurious furnishings.

 Here you can enjoy dinner and a drink or two. 🥂 A perfect way to end the day! ✨
